Este trabalho tem como objetivo principal analisar e discutir o processo de reduplicação fonológica na fala infantil, especificamente na aquisição do português brasileiro (doravante PB), e o papel desempenhado por ele na transição do balbucio para as primeiras palavras. Os modelos teóricos usados são: Whole-Word Phonology e Teoria dos Sistemas Dinâmicos (Vihman & Velleman 2002, Vihman & Croft 2007).

This research aims at investigatng  phonological reduplication in child speech, specifically in the acquisition of Brazilian Portuguese (henceforth BP), and the role it plays in the transition from babbling to first words. Whole-Word Phonology and Dymanical Systems Theory are adopted (Vihman & Velleman 2002, Vihman & Croft 2007).
